Nice to have in a Emergency works fine

Used mine every other day this summer in ocean and river up to 10 m. Flawless, no leaks. Refilled via electric compressor and spare tank adapter, no issues. Breathing technique takes practice. Regulator feels like standard SCUBA. Top quality gear and a brilliant step beyond snorkelling.

Very handy on the boat for clearing weeds

I’m a big boy, so I get about 8 to 10 minutes, but it’s invaluable for clearing weeds off our keel and rudder before races. Light, straightforward to use, and does the job with no dramas. Perfect little workhorse for quick boat jobs.

Great for adventures in hard to reach locations!!!

Used it on several lake dives. The compact size is gold: easy to strap on a paddle board, and with the pump I can refill on the go. Around 10-minute dives, no dramas. Perfect for hard-to-reach spots and doubles nicely as a backup. Great for beach days.

Works as intended

Works as intended. In the pool I managed 11+ minutes by breathing slow. Took it to about 50 ft and it performed fine. Solid build. Hand pump is a workout, but refills are doable. Great backup and handy for quick underwater jobs.

You’ve asked us

How long can I breathe underwater with an OXSEA Tank?

The duration depends on your breathing rate and depth. On average, the OX500/OX500PLUS offers up to 8 minutes of air, and the OX1000 up to 15 minutes.
It’s perfect for freeing a stuck anchor, checking a propeller, or exploring around your boat safely and easily.

Are OXSEA Tanks safe and certified?

Yes. All OXSEA Tanks comply with the CE EN250 safety standard, the European benchmark for diving equipment.
Each unit is individually tested before shipping to ensure maximum safety and reliability.

How do I refill my OXSEA Tank?

You can refill your OXSEA in three different ways:

  • Using the manual hand pump (OX500 models only)
  • With the OXSEA 12V mini compressor
  • Or via a refill adapter, allowing you to transfer air from a standard scuba tank to your OXSEA Tank.

Do I need a diving licence or training to use it?

No diving licence is required to own or use an OXSEA Tank.
However, we strongly recommend completing a short scuba or introductory diving course to learn proper safety techniques and make the most of your underwater experience.

How long does it take to refill an OXSEA Tank?

Refill time depends on the equipment you’re using and the Tank model.
Average refill times:
Manual hand pump:
OX500 → around 15 minutes
OX1000 → around 30 minutes (not recommended)
DIN or yoke refill station: around 1 minute
12V mini compressor:
OX500 → around 12 minutes
OX1000 → around 20 minutes

Can I travel by plane with an OXSEA mini tank?

Yes, you can fly with your OXSEA mini scuba tank, provided you follow a few safety rules:
Before flying:
The tank must be completely empty.
The valve (regulator) must be open or disconnected from the cylinder.
You must declare the tank at check-in or boarding.
Important:
Some airlines require the valve to be fully removed. This process is simple — just unscrew the top of the cylinder by hand.
Tip:
Always check your airline’s policy before travelling, as requirements may vary between carriers.
